Dyson has launched the ‘Big+Quiet Formaldehyde Air Purifier,’ equipped with its latest air purification technology.

To improve the product's performance, Dyson engineers newly applied a cone-shaped aerodynamic phenomenon, a low-pressure air delivery system. This cone-shaped aerodynamic phenomenon harnesses the ‘Coanda Effect.’ It merges two streams of airflow over a smooth surface to generate a single high-speed, powerful jet that minimizes noise while reaching distances of over 10 meters. According to Dyson, it delivers twice the airflow compared to previous Dyson air purifier products.

The ‘Big+Quiet Formaldehyde Air Purifier’ operates so quietly that it produces only around 56dB of noise even at maximum airflow. Dyson explains that it delivers the most powerful performance with the lowest noise of any Dyson air purifier to date. In addition, the new product has enlarged the size of its three filters compared to previous models, improving their lifespan. The HEPA H13-grade filter can be used for about five years without replacement, and it can be replaced separately from the carbon filter. The new K-Carbon filter, which removes gases from the air, eliminates three times more nitrogen dioxide than Dyson's existing activated carbon.

In addition, the new product is equipped with a new carbon dioxide sensor that analyzes the air in real time, with the results viewable on the product's main LCD screen and via a smartphone app.
