Hankuk Glass has released the EVERLIGHT 'SKS142II' double Low-E glass, distinguished by its subtle silver color.
This past July, Hankuk Glass drew attention by launching a double Low-E glass series featuring an outstanding gray color that set it apart from existing colors.
Likewise, the newly released 'SKS142II' applies a silver color distinct from existing colors, aiming to capture consumers' hearts. Silver-colored glass, which adds vitality to buildings, has seen rising preference in the architectural glass market recently and has been consistently applied to landmark buildings such as Myeongdong Center Point and the Gwangmyeong medical complex. In particular, the new EVERLIGHT 'SKS142II' applies a special nano-coating technology developed by Hankuk Glass to realize a neutral silver color in both transmitted and reflected light. This overcomes the characteristic yet limiting slight greenish tint in transmitted color found in existing silver-colored double Low-E glass. In addition, with insulation performance further improved over conventional double Low-E glass, it has a heat transmission coefficient (U-value) of 0.99 W/㎡K based on 26㎜ argon-filled insulating glass—the lowest U-value among double Low-E glass products released domestically. (when a 16㎜ air layer is filled with argon gas)
An official from Hankuk Glass said, "As the color trend in architectural glass moves toward gray and silver, Low-E glass products in gray and silver colors are being released," adding, "Since the EVERLIGHT SKS142II is a product developed with a focus on color as well as excellent insulation performance, it offers a neutral silver color that sets it apart from existing products."
