LG Electronics is launching 27 new 'DIOS ObjetCollection' refrigerator models equipped with an 'Auto Closing' function that smoothly closes the refrigerator door with no gaps.
With the new products, when a customer pushes the upper refrigerator door only to just before it closes, the door automatically and gently closes without any loud noise or impact. This also prevents issues such as increased electricity consumption and food spoilage that can occur when the door is not fully closed. In addition, the new products are UP appliances that can add new features through continuous upgrades, consistently offering new functions that can be added via upgrades.
Another advantage is the 'Inverter Linear Compressor,' a differentiated core component of LG refrigerators. The linear compressor, whose motor moves in a straight line instead of rotating, has low energy loss in the process of transmitting power, giving it superior energy efficiency compared to conventional compressors. Of the 27 new models, 13 have earned the top energy consumption efficiency Grade 1 rating. An LCD screen is applied to the top of the new products, making it easy to view the refrigerator's setting status, and settings can be conveniently adjusted using the temperature control buttons for the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
LG Electronics has also applied a mirror glass design that can double as a mirror to the upper right-hand door of the new products. This door features Knock-on, a function unique to LG Electronics refrigerators, allowing customers to conveniently check inside without opening the refrigerator door simply by knocking twice on the door. Furthermore, when using the Smart Care+ function via the LG ThinQ app, artificial intelligence analyzes the customer's usage patterns and automatically operates in power-saving mode during low-usage times, such as the early morning hours. In addition, LG Electronics has added new colors—such as Cream White and Cream Grey, created in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute—to the metal finish of the new products so that they can complement any interior. The new 'DIOS ObjetCollection Refrigerator' has a capacity of 820–875L, and prices range from 2.95 million to 5.9 million won based on shipping price, depending on capacity and feature configuration.
