Comes with a fire-retardant certification label attached, so consumers can purchase it immediately whenever they need it
Hansol Homedeco (CEO Kim Kyung-rok), an eco-friendly specialist in interior and building materials, is drawing industry attention with the launch of the 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board,' a flame-resistant furniture material product.
According to the National Fire Agency, 72.3% of fire-related deaths have recently been confirmed to result from asphyxiation caused by inhaling toxic smoke generated by interior finishing materials and decorative items inside buildings, and as a result, fire safety regulations for public spaces, government offices, and other multi-use facilities are being tightened. In particular, as the use of non-combustible finishing materials becomes mandatory for interior decorative plywood and timber, consumer demand for fire-retardant building materials is expected to rise significantly. In line with this trend, Hansol Homedeco has launched the 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board.'
The new 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board' is distinguished by its use of fire-retardant MDF produced at Hansol Homedeco's Iksan plant, giving it fire-retardant performance not only on the surface but also in the core material inside. Fire-retardant performance refers to the ability to delay the spread of flames during a fire, thereby maximizing the time available for evacuation. In addition to its fire-retardant performance, this new 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board' is an eco-friendly product that holds the GR (Good Recycled) mark, a statutory certification of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as well as an E0 grade under Korean Industrial Standards (KS), making it a finishing material even better suited to multi-use facilities and other spaces where large numbers of people gather. In particular, whereas ordinary fire-retardant boards typically require obtaining a fire-retardant certification after ordering, taking three to four weeks or more for the customer to receive the product, the 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board' is supplied with the fire-retardant certification label already attached and is kept in stock at all times at Hansol Homedeco's Iksan plant and its metropolitan-area logistics center, enabling same-day shipment as well as immediate purchase whenever desired.
Its diverse, trendy designs are another strength. The new 'Hansol Fire-Retardant Story Board' comes in a total of 12 designs that faithfully reproduce the textures of currently popular finishing materials such as stone, wood, and color & fabric — ▲Pebble White ▲Armani Gray ▲SB Stone ▲Banff Light Gray ▲Florida White ▲Tivoli Gray ▲Georgia Walnut ▲Marca Birch ▲Madi Antique ▲Virginia Oak ▲Plan Gray ▲Pebble Mud Gray. It is available in a 9 mm version for wall paneling and an 18 mm version for furniture, allowing customers to choose according to their space interior or needs.
A Hansol Homedeco official said, "Going forward, the fire-retardant performance of furniture and interior materials will become an important criterion for consumers when choosing products," adding, "As fire safety regulations for multi-use facilities have been strengthened, demand for fire-retardant boards has increased dramatically, but the truth is that consumer satisfaction with their design has not been high. This new product is offered in a variety of designs that match recent trends, and as a fire-retardant board that satisfies consumers in both function and design, it will be able to further raise satisfaction levels."
Meanwhile, Hansol Homedeco recently launched 'Hansol Easy Self,' an easy-to-apply wallpaper and tile product that has been well received by consumers. 'Hansol Easy Self' can be applied simply by peeling off the sticker on the back of the product, and it can easily be cut to the desired size by scoring the surface lightly three or four times with a knife and snapping it. In particular, it uses eco-friendly PP (polypropylene) — the same material used for baby bottles — so there is no exposure to environmental hormones, and it does not emit harmful gases in the event of a fire. Having also obtained PS (Pet Safety) certification from the state-accredited KOTITI Testing & Research Institute, it is suitable for pet-friendly interiors ("petterior") as well. 080-777-2299
