Global lighting company LEDVANCE has launched two plant-growth LED lighting products in its ‘Garden Series,’ designed to help plant lovers with their home gardening.

As ‘plant parents’ and ‘companion plants’ have recently emerged as trends, interest in plant-growth LED lighting has been heating up as well. In response, lighting specialist LEDVANCE has launched its ‘Garden Series’ plant-growth LED lighting, which combines LED functionality optimized to aid plant photosynthesis with convenient portability.

LEDVANCE ‘Garden’ is a plant-growth LED light that supports the growth of indoor plants. Using a white full spectrum together with blue light in the 400–500㎚ wavelength range and red light in the 640–700㎚ wavelength range, it promotes photosynthesis with a spectrum optimized for plant growth.

In particular, it features an automatic on/off timer function that keeps the light on for 16 hours and off for 8 hours, perfectly recreating day and night cycles. In addition, the ‘Garden Series’ allows the height of the light to be adjusted to match the height of the growing plants.

The new products are available in two types—a stand type and an umbrella type—so they can be selected according to the indoor space and the growth form of the plants. ▲The stand type measures 495㎜ wide and 210–310㎜ high, allowing the height to be adjusted to match the plant’s height, and supports a 3650K color temperature with 14W of power. It is convenient for managing several pots grouped together. ▲The umbrella type supports 5W (5V/1A) of power and a 3400K color temperature. It can be powered via a USB port and is well suited for installation on a plant pot. Both products can be used for up to 25,000 hours and are convenient to install and use anywhere indoors where plants are kept.
