Global lighting company LEDVANCE has launched two new products in Korea—the ‘LED Surface-Mount Light’ and the ‘LED Sensor Light’—featuring a slim, refined design.
The new products are flat-panel lights that replace conventional fluorescent lamps, and they are available in two types: round and square. Their most distinctive feature is a slim, refined design achieved through ‘Edge-lit’ technology, in which LED lights attached along the edges emit the light. As flicker-free products that eliminate light flickering, they are gentle on the eyes even during extended use and provide uniform, high-quality light.
The new products offer specifications optimized for illuminating relatively narrow and dark indoor spaces such as entryways, hallways, and verandas in residential and commercial settings. They deliver excellent color rendering of 80—close to natural light—a white 6500K color temperature, and a luminous efficacy of 70 lm/W. With a lifespan of 25,000 hours, they consume 50% less energy than compact fluorescent lamps, helping to reduce electricity costs. Installation is also simple: attach the fixture at the desired location without drilling, then install it using the enclosed terminal block. In addition, the LED Sensor Light allows the sensor to be turned on or off via a button, with a choice between night mode and day mode. When set to night mode, the light does not turn on during the day, saving energy.
