Royal Copenhagen, the Danish royal porcelain brand with 248 years of heritage, is expanding its lineup with 'Coral Lace' and 'Black Lace' from the two new color collections, 'Coral' and 'Black,' which debuted last month.
'Coral Lace' and 'Black Lace' are collections that dress the 'Princess' pattern—born in 1978—in the new colors of soft yet radiant 'Coral' and refined, understated 'Black.' 'Princess' was created by reinterpreting the original 'Blue Half Lace' design pattern, and is distinguished by the lace decoration bordering the edges of each piece, rendered through artisans' delicate hand-painting technique.
First, the new 'Coral Lace' pieces, in a soft and vibrant color, are released in four items—a cup and saucer, a high-handle mug, a bowl, and a plate—that complete an elegant tea time. Coral Lace pairs beautifully not only with its higher line, Coral Half Lace, but also with Royal Copenhagen's signature Cobalt Blue and White collections.
'Black Lace' introduces a total of seven new pieces. With a thermal mug, a long mug, a bowl, a plate, and a deep plate—each with edges adorned in a perfectly toned black—it enables a table setting that offers an even more elevated elegance.
A Royal Copenhagen representative said, "We reinterpreted the 'Princess' collection, born in 1978, in 'Coral' and 'Black' colors," adding, "We hope you will create a richer and more sophisticated table with this lineup that expands upon the new colors we grandly unveiled last month."
