‘VIXUM® DECO’, the DIY sound-absorbing material brand of Dongsung Chemical (CEOs Baek Jin-woo and Lee Man-woo), an eco-friendly chemical materials specialist, is joining hands with global game company Riot Games to launch a new product.
Dongsung Chemical unveiled the ‘LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (hereafter LoL)’ DIY sound-absorbing boards, a collaboration between VIXUM® DECO and Riot Games, on the crowdfunding platform Wadiz on August 9 and began funding. This new product was developed through FANZ MAKER, Wadiz’s sixth project, which connects Riot Games’ online game LoL with promising manufacturing companies. Dongsung Chemical was ultimately selected as a Riot Games partner in recognition of VIXUM® DECO’s sound-absorption technology and marketability.
‘VIXUM® DECO’ is the premium DIY sound-absorbing material product line of the melamine foam VIXUM®, the first of its kind developed domestically by Dongsung Chemical. It can be easily installed by individuals without professional help, and its distinctive feature is that the three-dimensional reticulated structure of the melamine foam absorbs noise to provide an optimal acoustic environment for a space.
Through this collaboration, Dongsung Chemical printed LoL’s popular champions — ▲Teemo ▲Yuumi ▲Ahri ▲Ezreal, and others — onto VIXUM® DECO, completing a lineup of 14 products in total. Taking diverse and segmented customer tastes into account, it diversified the designs and specifications compared with existing products.
A Dongsung Chemical official said, “By adding LoL’s champions to VIXUM® DECO’s sound-absorption technology, we are able to present a gaming room item that satisfies both performance and visual enjoyment,” adding, “When installed in a gaming room, it reduces noise so that users can enjoy an immersive audio experience.”
