Japanese power tool brand Makita has launched the ‘BS001G,’ a new 40V max series cordless belt sander that combines powerful performance with durability.
The new ‘BS001G,’ together with the ‘TW010G,’ is expected to provide optimized solutions for professional users across a wide range of work environments in 2025. Equipped with a high-power brushless motor, the ‘BS001G’ delivers approximately 30% higher work efficiency compared to conventional AC models. In particular, the motor's constant-speed control function, which maintains a steady belt speed even under load, supports stable and efficient sanding work. Its design, which maximizes user convenience, also stands out. The adjustable front handle can be angled up to 60 degrees forward and 30 degrees backward, providing optimal handling in various work environments, while the flat side design of the main body ensures stability even during wall-surface work. In addition, by making use of its flat top structure, the ‘BS001G’ can be placed upside down and used as a stationary belt sander. Attaching the separately sold clamp and guide rule set enables precise sanding of small workpieces. Furthermore, fitting the optional sanding shoe allows the sanded surface to be finished even more smoothly, enhancing the precision of professional work.
The new ‘BS001G’ also features enhanced convenience and durability. The dust bag, which includes a locking mechanism, is designed not to fall off even during wall-surface or vertical work, and the LED light, whose beam angle can be adjusted up to 45 degrees, ensures high precision even in dark work environments. Moreover, it is compatible with Makita's Auto-start Wireless System (AWS) for cordless dust-collection linkage, enabling coordinated operation with a dust extractor, and it meets the IPX6 waterproof rating, maintaining stable performance even if it rains during outdoor work.
