Shinsegae Casa is launching ‘VR 3D Interior,’ a service that lets you arrange furniture in a space with the same layout as your actual home through three-dimensional (3D) simulation.
Shinsegae Casa introduced the service to help customers who have different living spaces and highly specific tastes choose furniture with ease through close consultation with experts, and to increase their satisfaction when they actually receive the furniture.
The ‘VR 3D Interior’ service lets customers select products optimized for their individual living space and immediately review a quote, all in one go. It provides approximately 90,000 actual apartment floor plans and can also create new floor plans, allowing customers to arrange the furniture they want based on the layout of the home they will actually live in. In addition, more than 800 Casamia furniture pieces and accessories are recreated with realistic 3D modeling, so customers can experience textures and atmospheres just like seeing them in person. It also offers views from various perspectives, including a 3D bird's-eye view as well as a first-person mode that adjusts eye level according to the customer's height, and customers can try out a range of options such as wallpaper and flooring suited to their home.
The ‘VR 3D Interior’ service is currently available at Casamia stores and can also be used on ‘Guud.com,’ the lifestyle commerce and community platform operated by Shinsegae Casa.
In addition, Shinsegae Casa plans to introduce an ‘augmented reality (AR) service,’ a program exclusive to the Guud.com app, in the future. With the ‘augmented reality (AR) service,’ customers can select a desired product and point their camera at the space where they want to place it, and the product is scaled to its actual proportions so they can see how it looks staged in the space. Through this service, customers can check before purchasing whether a piece of furniture matches the home's atmosphere and whether its size fits the intended space.
A Shinsegae Casa official said, “In this era of hyper-personalization, we introduced the VR service to actively reflect the specific needs of customers and provide a customized shopping experience.” 1588-3408
