Interior accessories brand 'MUANG' has teamed up with rattan craftsman Park Hee-soo of Neuru Studio to launch a home-café rattan craft DIY (Do It Yourself) kit.

'MUANG' is a brand created by MegaZone, Korea's largest cloud management service provider (MSP). This collaboration with Park Hee-soo to launch the rattan craft kit is part of MegaZone's social contribution program. MegaZone supports small business owners and discovers star craftspeople, creating an environment in which they can grow across the boundaries of online and offline.

The newly launched 'MUANG' rattan craft DIY kit lets you easily make home-café accessories such as coasters, jugs, and trays at home by following an instruction manual and video. Rattan craft involves making furniture and household items from elastic rattan wood, and it takes about 30 minutes on average to make a single coaster. Park Hee-soo, the craftsman who has partnered with 'MUANG', is an expert who holds a rattan craft instructor certification from the International Craftsmen's Association. Running Neuru Studio in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, he said, "I'm delighted to take part in a project that lets a craftsman's talent fully blossom," adding, "In a world that regards speed and efficiency as the highest values, I hope many people can enjoy rattan craft, slow down the tempo of their daily lives by a beat, and find healing."

MegaZone CEO Jang Ji-hwang said, "At a time when rattan interior accessories are in vogue, we plan to discover creative handcraft artists, open online sales channels so their talents can shine, and provide marketing support," adding, "We will open online craft classes for craftspeople who have mainly worked offline and give them the opportunity to sell their products." 02-2108-9105
