Festool Korea has launched the 'OF 1010 R,' a detail-upgraded version of the compact yet powerful and precise 'OF 1010.'
The upgraded 'OF 1010 R' retains the convenience, versatile usability, and precise performance that made Festool's 'OF 1010' router stand out, while adding enhanced convenience functions that improve the quality of the user's work. On the new model, the dust extractor connection port—which on the existing 'OF 1010' could only accommodate a 27 mm diameter—has been changed to accept two sizes, 27 mm and 36 mm. In addition, the position of the depth adjustment dial has been changed so that depth can be easily adjusted while keeping a hold on the handle during work, and the design has been upgraded to be even more compact and optimized.
In particular, the 'OF 1010' is a router well suited to a wide range of tasks thanks to its compatibility with bits for 6 mm and 8 mm collets, allowing machining depth to be adjusted in 0.1 mm increments. It can also use 6 mm router bits typically compatible with trimmers, making it highly versatile for precision work. Furthermore, its two sturdy guides and light weight enable edge trimming, curved machining, and straight machining with high precision, while the spindle-stop function allows bits to be changed quickly and safely with a single spanner. In addition, MMC (Multi-material Motor Control) technology continuously monitors speed and temperature according to the material being worked on, enabling smart operation optimized for the workpiece. On top of this, the structural design provides a clear machining view, and when used together with Festool's dust extraction system, it enables dust-free routing—another major advantage of the 'OF 1010 R.'
Beyond this, using the chip deflector included as standard with the product together with a Festool dust extractor markedly reduces the generation of chips and dust, enabling more comfortable work and improving work accuracy. The 'OF 1010 R' offers even greater versatility when used together with Festool's smart system accessories.
