To further strengthen its premium collection, Hanil Carpet has launched 'mura,' a new design from Sambhav, its modern classic-style brand.
Hanil Carpet's high-end carpet collection 'Sambhav' is crafted using the traditional HANDKNOTTED weaving technique, with each piece taking as long as six months to complete. As a result, these are intricate and delicate products that cannot be reproduced by machine-woven carpets, making them works of high collectible value. Every step of production is directly managed and supervised by the designer in collaboration with Indian artisans, with dedicated efforts to produce the finest products.
In particular, the newly introduced 'mura' features a painterly, contemporary style, with a distinctive design that delicately blends silk and wool to create a watercolor effect. It also achieves a genuine faded texture and is crafted with exceptionally fine knots. In addition, its luxurious silk material in subtle colors, expressed through three-dimensional texture, becomes a work of art within a space. The touch underfoot is remarkably soft, and the intricate pattern is delicately woven so that its feel becomes richer depending on the grain. A Hanil Carpet representative said, "Sambhav collection carpets are so highly praised for their subtle, majestic colors that evoke an enchanting, celestial aesthetic that they hold great collectible value as works of craftsmanship, and a single carpet alone becomes a special work of art within a space."
Meanwhile, Hanil Carpet, which marks its 52nd anniversary this year, is Korea's largest carpet distribution/import company, holding a wide range of designer carpets. Visitors to the Hanil Carpet headquarters showroom in Nonhyeon-dong can see, all in one place, new products in a variety of styles, including vintage and traditional carpets in addition to the modern classic style. 02-547-5828
