Hyundai Livart, the total interior company under the Hyundai Department Store Group, announced the launch of 'Rackers,' a modular DIY shelving unit.
'Rackers' is a DIY (Do It Yourself) product distinguished by the freedom it gives customers to assemble it into any configuration they want. It can be arranged in a total of 76 different forms, ranging from 2- to 6-tier shelving units to dressing-room hanger units.
In particular, it is designed as a 'bolt-free angle shelf' that requires no screws or bolts during shelf assembly, making it simple to put together. Assembling the product requires no tools—you simply slot the shelves into the grooves arranged along the steel column frame.
The column frame is available in two colors, white and black, while the wooden shelves are made double-sided in two colors, white and oak, so consumers can style them in whichever color they prefer.
The newly launched Rackers is an online-exclusive product sold at 'Livart Mall (mall.hyundailivart.co.kr).' Prices are 78,000 won for the 2-tier shelving unit (800×300×600 mm), 155,000 won for the 5-tier shelving unit (600×400×1800 mm), and 153,000 won for the hanger unit (800×500×1800 mm).
A Hyundai Livart official said, "Rackers is a product that can satisfy the needs of both single-person households looking to purchase a hanger unit at a reasonable price and newlyweds with high demand for pantry (storage space) shelving units," adding, "We plan to continue introducing a variety of products that reflect customers' lifestyle trends."
