KCC has launched ‘Sooploro All-in-One,’ an eco-friendly water-based paint that, in an industry first in Korea, can be easily applied to any material—steel, wood, concrete and more—with a single-coat system.
The newly unveiled ‘Sooploro All-in-One’ is notable for its enhanced convenience, allowing even non-professionals to apply it easily to virtually any surface. Among water-based paints developed in Korea, Sooploro All-in-One is the only one that can be applied directly onto steel.
Generally, to apply a water-based paint to steel, an anti-corrosion (rust-preventive) primer must first be applied to prevent rusting. Because steel readily rusts the moment it comes into contact with water, water-based paints—which use water as their solvent—are vulnerable to rust and corrosion. However, ‘Sooploro All-in-One’ uses a special acrylic resin with enhanced anti-corrosion performance, realizing a single-coat system that lets you finish the job in one pass by painting directly onto the steel surface.
The paint itself also offers excellent adhesion, making it suitable for versatile use on a wide range of surfaces such as steel, PVC (window frames), adhesive sheeting, concrete, cement mortar, gypsum board, non-ferrous metals and wood. It can also be used for repair coating where an old, aged paint film has cracked or peeled. It can be applied directly regardless of whether the existing coating is acrylic or epoxy.
Eco-friendliness has not been overlooked either. ‘Sooploro All-in-One’ contains no heavy metals or reproductive-toxicity substances, and has earned the Ministry of Environment’s Eco-Label certification as well as the highest grade in the Korea Air Cleaning Association’s eco-friendly building material certification (HB Mark). It also dramatically reduces volatile organic compounds and offers outstanding antibacterial and anti-mold performance. As a high-performance product that combines convenience, versatility and eco-friendliness, ‘Sooploro All-in-One’ is expected to win the love of many consumers thanks to its diverse range of applications. It is suitable for DIY use such as furniture making, refurbishing and interior decorating, and can be used widely on playground equipment where children play, benches, various steel structures and even industrial sites.
