Shinil Frame Co., Ltd. (CEO Noh Sang-cheol), the manufacturer behind the molding brand ‘MIGA,’ whose name means ‘a beautiful home,’ has launched new eco-friendly finishing materials: the ‘MIGA Charcoal Deco Wall’ and the ‘MIGA Charcoal Louver.’
The main material of the MIGA Charcoal Deco Wall and Charcoal Louver is the same raw material used in yogurt bottles, produced as a recyclable, eco-friendly product. Because these environmentally friendly materials contain no substances that cause sick house syndrome, they help create a safe indoor space. The PS (polystyrene) used as the material is highly resistant to moisture and lighter than conventional plywood or MDF, giving it excellent workability. In addition, the MIGA Charcoal Deco Wall and Charcoal Louver incorporate charcoal powder into the actual product, lowering the incidence of atopic dermatitis that can be caused by harmful chemical components and providing a space that is safe for children.
The new ‘MIGA Charcoal Louver’ is an innovative product that improves the design and workability of molding—once regarded as merely a finishing detail—so it can be installed across an entire space. Lighter and easier to install than conventional wood louvers, it dramatically reduces logistics and construction costs. The MIGA Charcoal Louver features a half-lap joint system that creates natural seams and enables simple, fast installation. Its sturdy joint system enhances the connectivity of the louvers and the completeness of the design. The product comes in 6 types (L001–L006) and 64 variations, and every product can be custom-made in lengths from 2.4 to 6 meters.
Among the main designs, ‘L005’ is characterized by deeper grooves for a stronger three-dimensional effect, with a gold color added. ‘L004’ narrows the spacing between grooves to prevent the dizziness caused by repetitive depth, enabling a visually comfortable finish. ‘L006’ is designed so that different designs can be mixed within products of the same color. ‘L001’ offers a variety of color choices, including newly added navy and dark gray, satisfying consumers who prefer solid colors.
In particular, the MIGA Charcoal Louver is a complete wall system that provides a variety of finishing moldings designed to cover extended wall spaces or corners. The ‘connection-finishing’ molding, which finishes the start and end points of the louver connections, offers male and female moldings distinguished by design, while the ‘cutting-finishing’ molding, which finishes the cross-section created when cutting the top and bottom lengths of the louvers, consists of flat moldings in four sizes.
The ‘MIGA Charcoal Deco Wall,’ launched in 2018, is a product that addresses the size and seam issues cited as drawbacks of conventional flat panels. It changed the large size (2400×600 mm) that was difficult to install and transport to a tile size, and was upgraded with a design that requires no seam work. The Charcoal Deco Wall has edge treatment and color finishing on the product’s border, enabling a luxurious deco wall design. With no difficult or complicated grouting work, it is convenient to install and can recreate the feel of marble and stone at an economical price. The main designs come in 11 types—△Stone △Stone II △Marble △Spoon Cut △Brush △Wood Carving △Brick △Straw Craft △Wood Grain △Leaf △Concrete—and 51 colors. The MIGA Deco Wall is offered in 6 sizes for use in a variety of spaces, and combining different sizes allows for the creation of colorful art walls. The main product sizes are 800×580×4 mm, 580×290×4 mm, and 290×290×4 mm. In particular, because the product is light and easy to install, consumers can finish their spaces themselves through DIY.
