Miso (CEO Victor Ching), a startup that provides home services, has unveiled its ‘Miso Space Disinfection’ service for home disinfection to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As more companies adopt remote work due to COVID-19, families are spending more time gathered together at home, making household cleanliness—along with personal hygiene—more important than ever. In response, Miso launched the ‘Miso Space Disinfection’ service to help prevent COVID-19 infection and support healthy family living.

With ‘Miso Space Disinfection,’ disinfection and quarantine specialists visit homes in person and thoroughly disinfect both the inside and outside of the house through ‘spray-type sterilization’ and ‘ultra-fine-particle coating sterilization.’

△Spray-type sterilization is a step carried out for pest control, performed at areas such as the front door, in front of the elevator, the sink, and drains. △Ultra-fine-particle coating sterilization applies ingredients that are harmless to the human body to the home’s interior and furniture for a thorough disinfection. In particular, the ultra-fine-particle coating sterilization is made up of ingredients safe enough to be applied even to children’s toys.

Based on a 30-pyeong home, the Miso Space Disinfection service takes about 30 minutes in total—20 minutes of disinfection and roughly 10 minutes of drying time after the coating is applied. After disinfection and drying, the home can be used normally without separate ventilation, and the service costs around 70,000 won for a 10-pyeong home, with an additional 10,000 won per 10 pyeong.

CEO Victor Ching said, “We introduced the space disinfection service out of a desire to create a pleasant and hygienic environment together with Miso,” adding, “Miso is currently doing its utmost for the safety and health of our customers. These are difficult times, but we believe that everyone can come together to overcome them wisely and sensibly.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Miso Space Disinfection’ service can be used by simply entering the desired date and area through the Miso web and app. Starting with Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, the company plans to expand the service nationwide. In addition, as part of its COVID-19 prevention efforts, Miso is working to prevent infection by sending preventive-guideline text messages once again to customers and cleaners who use the Miso housekeeping service before the service is provided, and by ensuring that cleaners adhere to the mask-wearing policy. 1577-8808
