LG Hausys (CEO Min Kyung-jip) has launched ‘X-COMFORT,’ a new addition to its Z:IN sheet flooring line.
‘X-COMFORT’ is a combination of ‘Extra,’ meaning ‘to add,’ and ‘Comfort,’ signifying ‘ease’ — reflecting a flooring material that is easy on the feet by adding the cushioning and elasticity that influence how walking feels. ‘X-COMFORT’ is the first of LG Hausys’ sheet flooring products to feature a high-elasticity dual cushion layer. This high-elasticity dual cushion layer is divided into a plush upper layer and a firm lower layer with high elasticity, reducing the impact of walking while pushing back so that the feet do not sink in deeply, thereby maximizing walking comfort. Existing sheet flooring, which uses a single-structure cushion layer, could only deliver one characteristic — either softness or firmness — making it difficult to satisfy both cushioning and elasticity, the two factors that affect how walking feels. In fact, LG Hausys tested the walking performance of ‘X-COMFORT’ through the Korea Institute of Footwear & Leather Technology and confirmed that its cushioning (compression change rate) and elasticity (rebound elasticity) were approximately 1.2 times superior to those of its existing sheet flooring product, Xi Sorijam (4.5T).
In addition, the new ‘X-COMFORT’ applies ‘Deep & Wide synchronized embossing’ technology, which can render deeper and wider embossing than conventional synchronized embossing, reproducing the textures and characteristics of various natural materials — such as the surfaces of solid wood and marble — more true to life. ‘X-COMFORT’ has been released in a total of 12 patterns incorporating these designs, including 8 wood patterns and 4 marble patterns.
Furthermore, LG Hausys’ ‘X-COMFORT’ has earned the ‘Eco-Label Certification’ granted by the Ministry of Environment in recognition of its eco-friendliness, including the use of a plant-based resin derived from corn for the surface layer that comes into contact with the skin (feet).
