Bosch's Power Tools division (division head Park Jin-hong) has launched the 'GCM 18V-305 GDC', a professional BiTurbo cordless sliding mitre saw that delivers on all three fronts of power, precision and convenience.
This new product is the newly introduced BiTurbo Brushless (hereinafter BiTurbo) model in Bosch's mitre saw lineup, boasting power on par with corded mitre saws that deliver up to 2000W of output. It performs at maximum efficiency in particular when used together with Bosch's premium battery, the 'ProCORE18V'. It can cut a variety of materials such as timber to a depth of up to 120 mm and a width of up to 400 mm.
Alongside its powerful performance, precise cutting capability is another major advantage. The tool body is fitted with Bosch's patented articulated gliding arm, allowing the operator to freely adjust the saw to the desired position and angle. In addition, the gliding arm makes generous use of the space behind the saw blade during operation, enabling smooth and accurate cutting with minimal force. On top of this, a dual laser allows the cutting line to be marked precisely.
Like other products in the BiTurbo range, the new product is also equipped with a variety of convenience features. The BiTurbo mitre saw is the first Bosch benchtop tool to feature a human-machine interface (HMI), offering a three-step speed adjustment function and an eco mode. In eco mode, battery consumption is optimised during light-duty work, extending operating time by up to 20%. Furthermore, the connectivity function links the product to the Bosch Toolbox app, allowing speed adjustment and eco mode selection to be carried out remotely. In addition, it is equipped with a tool-free saw blade change function and a front bevel control device.
For safety features, an intelligent motor brake and a soft start function have been applied. The motor brake can quickly stop the tool within 3 seconds, while the soft start function allows the product to be controlled safely by having the saw blade rotate slowly and then gradually accelerate when the saw is started.
An official from Bosch's Power Tools division said, "The BiTurbo mitre saw is a product that offers all three—power, precision and convenience—befitting professional work," adding, "In particular, the patented articulated gliding arm and human-machine interface (HMI) can take work efficiency to the next level." 080-955-0909
