The Bosch Power Tools division has launched two left-handed professional circular saws: the BiTurbo 18V 'GKS 18V-70 L Professional' and the brushless 18V circular saw 'GKS 18V-57-2 L Professional'.
Unlike conventional circular saws, these two new products feature a saw blade positioned on the left, optimizing them for convenient cutting work by left-handed users. They are also characterized by upgraded performance, safety, and convenience thanks to BiTurbo and brushless motor technology along with various safety features.
The 'GKS 18V-70 L' applies innovative BiTurbo technology to deliver output equivalent to a corded 1800W tool, and its output is maximized when the premium ProCORE18V battery is used together with a battery of 8.0 Ah or more. As the first saw to apply a sidewinder design, it can work to a depth of up to 70 mm when making 90-degree straight cuts, making it suitable for cutting solid wood and engineered wood. The 'GKS 18V-57-2 L' applies a brushless motor to boast excellent performance, with a no-load speed of 5,000 rpm and a maximum cutting depth of 57 mm at a 90-degree straight cut. In addition, its lightweight 2.9 kg weight and compact design reduce work fatigue, and it can cut at a maximum bevel angle of up to 50 degrees.
Beyond this, both products offer a motor brake function that quickly stops the blade when the tool is switched off, as well as a 360-degree rotating dust extractor connection port, enabling safe and clean work. The design also takes user convenience and stability into account. A front grip enhances tool control, and LED lighting is provided to help ensure visibility of the cutting line and saw blade during work. Another feature is a tool hook that allows the tool to be hung on a ladder or tool belt.
The two new products are sold as bare tools. The 'GKS 18V-70 L' consists of ▲the main unit ▲one circular saw blade (30T) ▲a parallel guide ▲a paper case, while the 'GKS 18V-57-2 L' comes with ▲the main unit ▲one circular saw blade (24T) ▲a parallel guide ▲a paper case. They are compatible with the Bosch Professional 18V cordless system, and using a cordless-rated blade maximizes battery runtime.
