Bosch's Power Tools Division (Division Head Park Jin-hong) has launched the 'GBH 18V-28 DC Professional,' a new professional-grade 18V cordless rotary hammer drill that delivers corded-tool-class impact energy along with the latest features.

With a maximum impact energy of 3.4J, the tool delivers performance on par with the company's corded hammer, the 'GBH 3-28 DRE,' while weighing just 3 kg (excluding battery) for improved ease of use. It offers three operating modes — hammer drilling, drilling, and chiseling — and can be used on a wide range of materials including concrete as well as stone, masonry brick, and wood. In particular, the product features enhanced safety functions designed with the operator's health in mind. For vibration control, a counter oscillator is mounted on the gear housing to continuously offset the powerful air pressure, reducing work fatigue by design. In addition, a Kickback Control function that automatically stops the tool if the bit jams in the material has been applied to improve safety. The tool also offers a connectivity function (connectivity module sold separately), enabling it to link with a smartphone app via Bluetooth for remote checking of tool functions and status, alarms, and warnings. Furthermore, a tool hook is separately attached to the top of the body for greater work convenience, and a fall-prevention device can be connected to the D-shaped handle, allowing safe and convenient use even when working at heights.

Moreover, safer work is possible when the tool is used together with various dust extraction devices, including the new dedicated 'GDE 28 D.' The 'GDE 28 D,' available for separate purchase, delivers excellent dust extraction performance thanks to a high-quality HEPA filter, and its ultra-light weight of 0.8 kg greatly reduces the burden on the operator. The dust container can be easily emptied without detaching it separately, and it comes with a replaceable nozzle head and extension rod, enabling optimal dust extraction for each task. In addition to the 'GDE 28 D,' the new rotary hammer drill is also compatible with dust extraction devices such as the 'GDE 16 plus' and 'GDE 68.'

An official from Bosch's Power Tools Division said, "The new rotary hammer drill is a product that can greatly improve work efficiency with corded-tool-class impact energy and a lighter weight," adding, "In particular, it is designed to protect the safety and health of professional operators by combining the latest features such as the vibration reduction device, Kickback Control, and connectivity with dust extraction capabilities." 080-955-0909
