Bosch's Power Tools division has launched the 'GBH 18V-36 C Professional', a high-performance, high-output professional BiTurbo 18V cordless rotary hammer.
The newly launched hammer is powered by Bosch's high-performance BiTurbo brushless motor and premium ProCORE 18V battery technology to deliver corded-tool-class output, while its design is 20% smaller than comparable cordless SDS-max rotary hammers — a major highlight being its compact and lightweight build. Thanks to the lightweight design, even with the ProCORE 18V battery installed the tool weighs just 6.1 kg, reducing fatigue during work.
In addition, the 'GBH 18V-36 C' reduces the tool's size and weight while retaining powerful output, delivering up to 7.5 J of impact energy. This allows drilling and chiselling of tough materials such as concrete, stone, rock and brick to be carried out quickly. On top of this, the safety that Bosch prides itself on has been maximized. In the event of kickback caused by sudden overload, such as the bit catching on an obstacle, the KickBack Control function stops the tool automatically to prevent injury. The Lock-on button enables continuous chiselling by fixing the operating mode, and it does not function in hammer drilling mode, ensuring safety. The Soft Start function, EPC (Electronic Precision Control) and ASC (Adaptive Speed Control) let the tool start up smoothly with gradually increasing rotation speed, supporting safe and precise tool control.
Furthermore, the new 'GBH 18V-36 C' enables intuitive tool operation and individually customized tool settings through an intelligent user interface (HMI) featuring Bosch's own (Bluetooth) connectivity technology. This provides an at-a-glance display of the battery charge status, the tool's heat status, the power tool status and the KickBack Control status, and offers three operating modes: ▲Auto mode, ▲Soft mode and ▲Favorite mode. Soft mode increases rotation speed slowly, making it suitable for machining sensitive materials, while Favorite mode links with the Bosch app to let workers set the final rotation speed, rotation acceleration and more to their own preference. The LED work light, not available on corded products, boosts working efficiency in dark environments.
The new 'GBH 18V-36 C' is available in two configurations that users can choose according to their needs: a kit version that includes a premium ProCORE 18V battery and charger, and a bare-tool version excluding the battery and charger. 1599-3567
