Samsung Electronics Launches ‘Bespoke Wind-Free System Air Conditioner’

Samsung Electronics has launched the ‘Bespoke Wind-Free System Air Conditioner,’ which provides customized cooling solutions tailored to the user’s lifestyle and installation space.

The Bespoke Wind-Free System Air Conditioner is a customizable product that lets consumers choose the air conditioner type, number of units, and even the cooling capacity to suit their living space and needs.

With the outdoor unit applied to this system air conditioner, a single outdoor unit can be combined with anywhere from 2 to 5 indoor units—not only ceiling-type but also stand-type and wall-mounted models. Previously, consumers had to install separate outdoor units for the system air conditioner and for the stand-type and wall-mounted models, which was inconvenient.

In addition, this product offers the advantage of being able to flexibly add or change air conditioners with a single outdoor unit, even when the size of the installation space changes due to relocation or when the number of family members increases. However, in accordance with the Korea Energy Agency’s regulations on the operation of efficiency-managed equipment, when connecting a stand-type indoor unit, at least 4 indoor units must be connected in order to use it.

Samsung Electronics is offering △ceiling-type models in a total of 7 capacities, with cooling capacity ranging from 13.0 to 58.5㎡; △stand-type models in 4 capacities, from 56.9 to 81.8㎡; and △a wall-mounted model with a capacity of 18.7㎡. The launch price ranges from 4.91 million to 10.49 million won depending on the combination (installation costs not included).

The new ceiling-type Bespoke Wind-Free System Air Conditioner adds a fine temperature control function in 0.5°C increments, allowing users to set the temperature optimized for them. Using ‘Wind-Free Mode,’ in which gentle cool air flows out through the micro-holes of the wide Wind-Free panel, delivers comfortable cooling.

To address the inconvenience of ceiling-type air conditioners, which have been difficult to keep hygienic, the product also adds the ‘Easy Care 5 Steps’ feature that was previously applied to existing home Wind-Free air conditioners, as well as the AI (artificial intelligence)-based customized features ‘AI Clean’ and ‘Bespoke AI Custom Comfort.’

Easy Care 5 Steps consists of △‘Auto Dry,’ which automatically dries internal moisture after cooling ends; △‘Wash Clean,’ which cleans and sanitizes deep inside the heat exchanger; △‘Easy Open Panel,’ which allows the front grille to be easily detached with the push of a button; △‘AI Diagnosis,’ in which the device checks its own condition, from refrigerant levels to the indoor and outdoor unit motors and sensors; and △a filter that can be safely washed with water.

The AI Clean function lets users check indoor and outdoor air quality at a glance through ‘SmartThings Air Care,’ and it analyzes outdoor air quality to automatically activate cleaning mode when air purification is needed, enabling customized air cleaning throughout all four seasons.

In addition, the Bespoke AI Custom Comfort function detects indoor and outdoor environmental information such as temperature, humidity, and air quality, and automatically operates cooling, cleaning, or dehumidifying modes to suit the space. With the ‘Welcome & Away Care’ function, it conveniently activates cooling and cleaning modes before you arrive home, and even lets you check from outside whether any appliances were left on when you left.

All models of the Bespoke Wind-Free System Air Conditioner have a Grade 1 energy consumption efficiency rating. The stand-type and wall-mounted products that can be combined with the Wind-Free ceiling-type air conditioner are also equipped with the strengths of Samsung’s Wind-Free air conditioners—powerful Wind-Free cooling performance, Easy Care, Bespoke AI Custom Comfort, and more—delivering comfort in any space.
