Hyundai Rental Care, a total home care company affiliated with the Hyundai Department Store Group, is launching the self-managed shower water purification filter 'Cuming Water Care Plus (HQ-S2010).'
'Cuming Water Care Plus (HQ-S2010)' features a 'triple water purification filter' structure (micro sediment filter – carbon filter – vitamin gel filter), delivering enhanced water purification performance compared to shower filter products currently on the market. First, the 'micro sediment filter' filters out foreign substances such as fine dust, rust, and manganese as small as 5㎛—smaller than the fine dust classification standard (10㎛ or less).
In addition, the activated carbon 'carbon filter' removes odors and organic matter from tap water. The vitamin gel filter is capable of purifying residual chlorine in up to 8 tons of tap water.
'Cuming Water Care Plus' is a 'self-managed product' in which consumers replace the filter themselves. Product convenience has been maximized so that users can replace the filter on their own, without the need for a care service (such as replacing consumables and cleaning management). After the initial connection to the faucet and the showerhead respectively, all you have to do is simply replace the filter thereafter. Installing the product on a wall is also convenient, requiring no drilling—only the double-sided tape attached to the product and a special silicone are needed.
The monthly rental fee is divided into three options according to the filter replacement cycle: 12,900 won (based on a 3-month filter replacement cycle), 15,900 won (based on a 2-month filter replacement cycle), and 24,900 won (based on a 1-month filter replacement cycle). The mandatory usage period is 4 years (48 months). New customers who already use an existing Cuming water purifier, or who rent a Cuming water purifier together with 'Cuming Water Care Plus,' receive an additional discount of 3,000 won. This brings the monthly rental fee down to 9,900 won (based on a 3-month filter replacement cycle).
The company explained that, when comparing usage period and water purification performance with water purification filter products sold on the market, it is about 20–30% cheaper.
