Samhwa Paints Industrial has launched ‘Water Safe 300,’ a new waterborne paint for finishing small pools. Until now, most paints used for swimming pools have been oil-based products, but the new ‘Water Safe 300’ developed by Samhwa Paints offers water resistance comparable to that of oil-based coatings, while also boasting excellent weather resistance and strong adhesion. According to the company, the new ‘Water Safe 300’ can be applied with confidence to indoor and outdoor pools at pensions, pool villas, and similar facilities without worrying about peeling. In addition, the new ‘Water Safe 300’ is an eco-friendly paint that has obtained Indoor Air Quality and Eco-Label certifications, minimizing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the four major heavy metals.

A Samhwa Paints official said, “We developed this waterborne paint for finishing small pools in order to expand our lineup of pool-finishing paints and contribute to increasing sales.”

Meanwhile, as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, Samhwa Paints is converting its oil-based products to waterborne products. This measure comes in response to growing social interest in a sustainable environment and rising demand for related products. Samhwa Paints is continuing its efforts in technology development, including a dedicated focus on developing products that meet eco-friendly requirements and government regulations. 02-765-3641
