FineTechnics has unveiled ‘Fine Sleep,’ a sleep-care LED light equipped with differentiated special functions.

According to FineTechnics, ‘Fine Sleep’ is an LED lighting product developed through joint research conducted from July 2021 to December last year as a government national project, together with the Yonsei University Health System, KTC, and the Korea Photonics Technology Institute. Using LED electrical wavelengths beneficial to the human body, it is equipped with four functional modes optimized for sleep (Rest, Mood, Sleep, and Zero modes) that help regulate the hormone (melatonin) which naturally aids sleep and relieve insomnia. In addition, by implementing brightness control, color-temperature conversion, and scheduling functions, it is a system that provides user convenience and sleep care. After being verified through clinical trials at the Yonsei University Health System, its development and prototype production have been completed, and it is set for official release this coming August.

Modern people feel that 24 hours are not enough as their active hours increase, and they experience difficulty maintaining physical balance, such as eye fatigue caused by prolonged smartphone use. As changes in sleeping hours arise as a result, improving sleep quality—affected by various causes such as biological disruption, overwork, and stress—has emerged as a key issue. FineTechnics recognized these environmental conditions and has steadily carried out research and development of LED lighting in the human-care field by utilizing LED electrical wavelengths, and this effort has now borne fruit.

The exterior design of ‘Fine Sleep’ maximizes the beauty of curves to create a visually soft impression, and its design concept combines a torch shape reminiscent of a light with a Möbius strip formed into a cylindrical shape. This gives the enjoyment of seeing the form appear differently depending on the viewing angle. The curvature of the torch shape is linked to the diffuse-reflection pattern of the light source to achieve an even softer feel, and to convey the warmth of light, a Samsung Electronics LED package was applied, designed with a color temperature of 3000K.

FineTechnics said, “The launch of Fine Sleep is significant in that it has pioneered a new and original market for LED lighting in the human-care field,” adding, “It is part of our effort to foster a stable market platform and to expand our market as a power brand in the consumer market through product-line expansion and new product launches.” The company further added, “We are also planning to enter overseas markets, not only domestically but also in regions such as Europe and the Americas, where the use of stand lighting is part of everyday life.” 031-463-8888
