KCC (CEO Chung Mong-jin) has launched '숲으로 에코플러스', an affordable eco-friendly water-based paint for interior use.
'숲으로 에코플러스' is a paint applied to the interiors of buildings finished with concrete, mortar, gypsum board and similar materials. Released as an economy-grade product, it is reasonably priced. As consumers place great importance on price when choosing a product, '숲으로 에코플러스' is expected to win strong popularity.
In addition, as an eco-friendly product it has obtained the Ministry of Environment's official Eco-Label certification, has greatly reduced volatile organic compounds (VOCs), contains none of the four major heavy metals, and gives off almost no odor. In terms of performance, one of its advantages is that it is not affected by previously painted colors. It offers good hiding power—enough to cleanly render a new color—and good crack resistance, meaning it is less affected by cracks in the area to be painted or on the wall surface.
KCC '숲으로 에코플러스' is also convenient to handle. Whereas the company's previous economy-grade paints were released in 18-liter containers, this product is released in a 15-liter container. This allows consumers to handle it with a lighter weight when moving and using the paint can.
