As demand for DIY interior decorating grows, KCC has introduced self-painting know-how using 'Soopeuro All-in-One,' a paint that anyone can apply with ease.

Amid the rapid growth of the DIY interior market, in which people decorate their homes with their own hands, paint has also become a popular material in the DIY interior space. In particular, KCC's water-based paint 'Soopeuro All-in-One' is

gaining word-of-mouth popularity among consumers thanks to its ease of use, allowing it to be applied readily to any material—steel, wood, concrete, and more. Among domestically developed water-based paints, 'Soopeuro All-in-One' is the only one that can be applied directly to steel without an anti-rust (rust-prevention) primer. For this reason, more and more people are looking to reform furniture and interior accessories anew through self-painting as spring arrives.

First, before painting, carefully gather your supplies. You will need paint, a tray, a roller (including a roller cover), and a stir stick (a wooden chopstick works as a substitute); depending on the situation, having masking and covering tape on hand makes the job even more convenient. Painting a wall requires a large tray and roller, but for reforming small furniture, a 4-inch tray and roller are sufficient. It is best to work the paint thoroughly into the tray and apply it in several thin coats. Also, use a previously used roller cover for gesso or undercoat work, and use a new roller cover when applying the main color.

Sand the entire area to be painted to smooth out the surface; however, since KCC Soopeuro All-in-One can be applied directly regardless of the finish, you may skip this step. That said, if the surface to be painted is rough, damaged, or contaminated with stickiness or other residue, you must smooth the surface by sanding to achieve a high-quality result.

Next, mix the paint well. Open the paint can using a dedicated opener, a flathead screwdriver, or a coin, then stir thoroughly with a stir stick, wooden chopstick, or similar tool. When the paint has been tinted to a specific color, the color can sometimes separate, so you must mix it thoroughly to achieve the color you want.

For materials with no grain, you can paint in any direction, but painting in the same direction is recommended for a uniform look in the roller marks. Once the first coat is complete, apply a second coat. KCC 'Soopeuro All-in-One' has excellent color development, so a single coat is sufficient, but if you want a more even and vivid finish, an additional coat is recommended.
