‘Tapo,’ TP-Link's smart home brand, is launching the ‘Tapo D235,’ a smart video doorbell featuring a dual-power design and 24-hour continuous recording.
The ‘Tapo D235’ supports both a 10,000㎃h high-capacity battery and a wired power option, allowing flexible use depending on the installation environment. In wireless mode, it delivers up to 210 days of battery performance, while a wired connection enables 24-hour continuous recording for monitoring that never misses a moment. In particular, the Always On mode can be activated to save footage before and after events, capturing even easily overlooked details. In addition, the new ‘Tapo D235’ supports 5-megapixel 2K ultra-high-definition video and a 180-degree ultra-wide view. Its color night vision feature with a built-in spotlight provides high visibility even at night, enhancing security in dark environments. Furthermore, the ‘Tapo D235’ uses AI-based detection technology to distinguish between people, vehicles, pets, and delivery packages when sending notifications. It minimizes unnecessary alerts while delivering only important events, enhancing user convenience.
When a visitor presses the doorbell, two-way audio allows real-time conversation. While away, calls can be connected via smartphone, and voice messages can be pre-recorded to be sent automatically even in situations where responding directly is difficult. Integrated smart home management is also possible. It can be linked with smart plugs, lighting, and sensors within the Tapo ecosystem to set up automated actions. For example, various scenarios can be implemented, such as automatically turning on entryway lighting or playing a notification sound when a visitor is detected.
An official from TP-Link Korea stated, “The new Tapo D235 is an innovative smart doorbell that enhances both security and convenience, designed to be used in a variety of environments beyond simply securing the home.” 1899-1086
