Global lighting company Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea) announced the launch of the 'Hue Go 2.0,' which supports Bluetooth connectivity without a separate bridge.
The newly launched 'Hue Go' 2nd generation upgrades the features of the existing 'Hue Go' product. While the previous 'Hue Go' could only render 16 million colors through a separate bridge, the newly launched 'Hue Go' 2nd generation supports Bluetooth connectivity without a separate bridge, allowing users to render and control colors through the dedicated app. In addition, the plug position has been changed so that it does not tilt to one side when plugged in, and battery life has also been improved. While the previous product could be used for up to 3 hours on a full charge, the 'Hue Go' 2nd generation can be used from 2.5 hours up to 24 hours depending on the lighting mode.
Unlike ordinary lighting that simply provides light, 'Philips Hue' is LED smart lighting whose brightness and color can be controlled with a smartphone, tablet, and more. Among these, 'Hue Go' is a smart portable light that can be used anywhere without a power connection thanks to its built-in battery, and with its palm-sized dimensions and light weight of 900g, it is well suited for camping and outdoor activities. On top of this, it can be used as interior lighting, such as a mood light. Adding a bridge expands its features even further. Not only can you freely control the lighting using your smartphone both inside and outside the home, but you can also set the lighting to operate automatically according to schedules you specify yourself, such as departure times, TV program times, and bedtime.
