Samhwa Paints Industrial (hereinafter Samhwa Paints) announced that it has launched 'iLux Duro-X,' a high-strength scratch- and stain-resistant paint.
Samhwa Paints' new product 'iLux Duro-X' forms a high-strength coating film that could not be achieved with water-based matte paints, protecting interior walls against scratches, stains, and more. Typically, when matte paint is applied to walls that are frequently touched, staining worsens over time. Compared with ordinary water-based matte paints, however, 'iLux Duro-X' offers superior scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, and excellent cleanability, thoroughly protecting the painted surface from staining.
In particular, it meets standards below the detection limits for the four major heavy metals and has a low VOC (volatile organic compound) content, earning it the Ministry of Environment's official eco-friendly certification mark.
The new product 'iLux Duro-X' delivers outstanding performance in multi-use facilities such as commercial spaces with heavy foot traffic and educational institutions. In addition, its antibacterial and anti-mold functions, which suppress mold formation, make it suitable for use in food factories and medical facilities where hygiene management is important.
A Samhwa Paints official stated, "Applying iLux Duro-X prevents staining and scratches on the painted surface at an early stage, minimizing the time and cost spent on maintenance," adding, "We plan to gradually expand the number of multi-use facilities that use iLux Duro-X."
