Signify Korea (formerly Philips Lighting Korea) has commercialized 'SpaceSense,' the Wi-Fi wireless sensing technology for its Wi-Fi smart lighting brand 'WiZ,' and launched the 'WiZ App V2.'
'WiZ,' which Signify launched in March last year, is Wi-Fi-based smart lighting that lets users take advantage of a variety of smart features simply through a Wi-Fi connection. In addition to smart lighting functions such as remote control, voice control, and light color control, its guest-style multi-user feature allows everyone sharing a commercial space or home to control a single light together. As a result, it is winning strong support from self-employed business owners and corporate consumers who want to make a big change with a simple installation.
In particular, the new 'WiZ App V2' adds a range of features, including a simplified home button and the ability to set the background color. Signify has also commercialized the 'SpaceSense' Wi-Fi wireless sensing technology and added the feature to the 'WiZ App V2.' 'SpaceSense' can automatically control lighting by detecting motion using the lights alone, without a separate motion sensor. By adjusting the sensing sensitivity to detect small and large movements, it can be set so that it does not react to unnecessary motion.
Beyond the basic 'turn on' function when motion is detected, users can set their preferred lighting mode, and they can also specify particular time periods during which the feature is applied or disabled.
