Hippofarmtech, a brand specializing in LED grow lights for plants, has unveiled four new household plant-growing LEDs suited to the growth of companion plants.

Plant-growing LED lighting not only supplies the sunlight that indoor companion plants lack, but also promotes healthy growth with the wavelengths that plants prefer. It is also easy to use—simply fit it into a stand you already own. Conventional plant-growing LED products emit red and blue light, making them inconvenient to use at home, but Hippofarmtech's products have a 3500K color temperature that gives off a soft yellow light, so they do not disrupt your interior décor and provide a sense of comfort, making them well suited to everyday living.

Among the products Hippofarmtech has released this time, the ▲PAR38 lamp 15W (diffusion type) is the product most favored by home gardeners; Hippofarmtech's version weighs about half as much as existing products and is also affordably priced. The ▲PAR30 lamp 12W (focused type) is a 12W lens-type product that strongly concentrates light directly beneath the fixture, making it suitable for succulents, cacti, and the like. The ▲PAR30 lamp 12W (diffusion type) spreads light more widely than the focused type, delivering light to a range of plants. The ▲ball lamp 15W product is a round, ball-shaped light; its large ball and reduced glare satisfy both interior décor and plant growth. With its wide diffusion angle, it can evenly deliver light to a greater number of plants, making it suitable for shade-loving plants and orchid varieties.

Han Woo-young, Principal Researcher at Hippofarmtech's R&BD Center, explained, "The early red-and-blue plant-growing LED lights were far removed from any decorative effect," adding, "To meet the needs of home gardeners who want both help with plant growth and comfort in everyday life, we conducted ongoing research and ultimately developed plant-growing lights with color temperatures (3500K and 5000K) that use the full wavelength spectrum while aiding plant growth."

Meanwhile, DSE, an LED lighting specialist known for Hippolight, has led the domestic LED lighting market since its founding in 1997. In 2017, it succeeded in developing its own plant-growing LEDs, established the entire process of plant-growing LED development and production, and launched the specialty brand Hippofarmtech.
