Nature Group (CEO Kang Han-gu) joined hands with Woodex (CEO Lee Jae-woong), a company specializing in the distribution of building materials, to jointly participate in the Dong-A Architecture & Interior Expo held this past September at SETEC in Gangnam-gu, where it unveiled its new ‘Fiber Wood 2nd Generation’ product and announced its new direction going forward.
Nature Group plans to expand the B2C market by collaborating with Woodex to raise brand awareness of its new-concept timber ‘Fiber Wood’ and increase points of contact with general consumers, while growing its nationwide distribution network.
‘Fiber Wood’ is a new-concept timber launched by Nature Group for the first time in Korea. It is an interior and exterior finishing material that combines ‘carbon fiber’—which has been applied in specialized, cutting-edge fields such as aerospace, automobiles, and ships—with wood fiber and other special materials. As is well known, ‘carbon fiber’ offers excellent heat resistance and impact resistance, is lighter than metal (aluminum), and has superior elasticity and strength compared to metal (steel), making it a material that has long been used and widely recognized in specialized areas across various industries.
‘Fiber Wood’ began to gain recognition in Korea starting with its interior and exterior finishing materials, followed by the launch of ‘Fiber Deck’ and ‘Carbon Fiber Deck.’ The distinguishing feature of these products is that they are premium, high-performance materials combining durability, light weight, and cost-efficiency, showing no deformation or discoloration in any environment—indoors or outdoors—thereby perfectly compensating for the shortcomings of conventional timber.
In particular, ‘Carbon Fiber Deck’ improves upon and perfectly compensates for the problems of natural and synthetic wood, securing stability against externally influencing factors such as climate change, temperature, and all other elements. In addition, ‘Carbon Fiber Deck’ is a high-performance premium decking material created with advanced technology, combining carbon fiber and other special materials and substances that maximize not only durability but also light weight and cost-efficiency.
Furthermore, the newly launched ‘Fiber Wood 2nd Generation’ product is characterized by a considerably enhanced natural wood-grain texture compared to existing products, along with added functionalities such as flame retardancy and UV blocking.
The new products include New Woody and Bliss Awning, as well as Urban Grey, a new color for the Carbon Deck. △New Woody is a product optimized for commercial spaces such as cafés and restaurants, retaining the advantages of wood while compensating for its shortcomings. Its design lets you feel the texture of wood just as it is. △Bliss is a three-dimensional panel that maximally realizes the texture of wood with a voluminous 35T-thick design. As a premium exterior finishing material, its advantage is that it does not fade or discolor over time. △New Tube provides a broad sense of space and gives buildings a deeper atmosphere; with its UV coating, it is highly resistant to ultraviolet rays, maintaining its original ambiance even after a long time. △Awning has the advantage of excellent resistance to impact, providing strong durability and remaining unchanged despite changes in climate or temperature. △The new Carbon Deck color is the recently trendy ‘Urban Grey,’ characterized by its ability to create trendy yet modern spaces.
