LG Electronics is launching the 'LG PuriCare Objet Collection Hydro Tower,' a new-concept premium water-purifying humidifier.
For cleaner humidification, the new 'Hydro Tower' applies a thorough three-stage management process: ▲a water-purifying filter ▲high-temperature sterilization ▲a purifying filter. In Stage 1, the water-purifying filter filters out not only harmful substances in the water but also minerals such as calcium and magnesium; in Stage 2, the purified water is boiled to 100 degrees in a heating tank for high-temperature sterilization. Finally, in Stage 3, air drawn in from the bottom of the product passes through the purifying filter and is then blown out from the top of the product, completing clean humidification. In general, when water containing minerals is used with a humidifier, a white residue known as scale forms after the water dries. By using water that has passed through the water-purifying filter to remove even the minerals, the new product removes 99.9% of the substances that cause scale. High-temperature sterilization was verified by an accredited testing institution to reduce harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa by 99.999%. The purifying filter installed in the product is the 'G Filter' used in LG Electronics' latest air purifiers, offering the advantage of powerful deodorizing performance that filters ultra-fine dust and removes the five major harmful gases, including ammonia, formaldehyde, and toluene, which cause household odors. In addition, it is equipped with thorough hygiene management functions such as automatic sterilization and internal cleaning.
Furthermore, the auto-dry function of the new 'Hydro Tower' helps dry the moisture in the passage through which moisture particles have traveled once humidification is complete. Before using the humidifier, customers can care for this passage with steam created by boiling water to 100 degrees, allowing for even more hygienic use. Steam sterilization is available whenever desired. Moreover, to verify the humidifier's performance, the product obtained 'HH Certification,' which the Korea Air Cleaning Association grants to products that meet its standards after testing humidification capacity, power consumption, noise, and microbial contamination.
The new product operates in three modes: humidification, humidification with air purification, and air purification. In particular, when the warm humidification option is selected in humidification mode, warm moisture particles of about 35 degrees are dispersed, so the indoor temperature does not drop even while humidifying—making it perfect for winter. During periods when indoor humidification is not needed, it can be used as an air purifier, and when sleep mode is set, the noise level is around 23 decibels. In addition, its Objet design harmonizes with home interiors and features mood lighting to enhance the atmosphere of a space. Using the 'LG ThinQ' smart home platform app, users can remotely adjust the color and brightness of the mood lighting and set the humidification temperature and volume.
