As more consumers seek to live in healthier spaces, materials such as wood, stone, and marble are gaining popularity as interior finishing materials. Amid this trend, a new product that allows a natural interior to be completed at an economical price is drawing attention.

Shinil Frame Co., Ltd., the manufacturer behind the molding brand MIGA—whose name (美家) means 'beautiful home'—recently launched 'MIGA Decowall,' Korea's first PS eco-friendly finishing material.

MIGA Decowall is an interior finishing material that can express wood, stone, and fabric textures, and it enables a wide variety of designs depending on the combination by making the most of finishing accents. PS (polystyrene), the material used for Decowall, is highly resistant to moisture and lighter than conventional plywood or MDF, giving it the advantage of easy installation.

In terms of design as well, it can render a variety of textures such as wood, stone, marble, and fabric, and it can even reproduce fine embossed textures, offering consumers a wide range of choices. In particular, it is priced more reasonably than natural materials such as solid wood or marble, making it an economical substitute for solid wood and marble.

Made from eco-friendly PS, MIGA Decowall is lightweight yet sturdy with excellent durability, and its reasonable price also helps reduce costs. In addition, the color-finished edges allow a premium finish to be achieved without complicated grout (mezi) work, so even consumers who want to do their own interior design can install it themselves. The product comes in sizes of 800×580㎜×4T, 580×290㎜×4T, and 290×290㎜×4T.

Furthermore, MIGA Decowall offers distinctive designs and can express a wide range of patterns and textures, allowing users to feel textures like those of wood, stone, and marble. The new product has been released in 23 items across six concepts—VINE, WOOD, LEAF, STRAW, BRICK, and CONCRETE—and 11 finishing moldings compatible with the 23 Decowall products have also been released, so they can be used effectively to complete an interior that encompasses the entire space.

The eco-friendliness of MIGA Decowall is also a competitive advantage. The product uses materials that are harmless to the human body, protecting the environment and nature. Shinil Frame explained, 'In tests measuring the emission of pollutants from building interior materials, TVOC, toluene, and formaldehyde were all released at negligible levels and were barely detectable.' 031-945-3340
