Aqara Life (CEO Song Hee-kyung), a company specializing in AIoT, has launched the ‘U100’, a smart door lock designed exclusively for interior wooden doors.

According to the company, the ‘U100’ offers fast fingerprint recognition speed and high accuracy. In particular, it features a high-speed fingerprint recognition module that boasts a 98.6% recognition rate and a recognition speed of under 0.5 seconds. In addition, the new ‘U100’ can register up to 50 fingerprints and is designed to leave no traces even after fingerprint recognition. Beyond fingerprints, the lock can be released using a physical key, a password, or NFC (Near Field Communication). The new product also fully supports Apple Home. Passwords for visitors can be issued through the application, and the door opens simply by holding an iPhone or Apple Watch up to the ‘U100’. Furthermore, the company explained that third-party device automation is possible through integration with Google Home, Matter, and more, and that when used together with a Matter-supporting Aqara Hub, a variety of smart home automations can be achieved.

An Aqara Life official said, “The newly introduced U100 smart door lock for interior wooden doors is designed exclusively for indoor spaces and is ideal for places that require individual security,” adding, “Stored data is protected with the U.S. government standard encryption algorithm, providing strong security and stability.” Aqara Life CEO Song Hee-kyung went on to say, “Aqara smart door locks are trusted in the global market for their high fingerprint recognition rate, door-opening speed, and integration with various platforms,” and “The U100 introduced this time is part of our security innovation that now extends to indoor spaces, and it will contribute to creating a safer and more convenient smart home environment going forward.” 02-6949-2662
