SNK announced the launch of its new robot vacuum, ‘ROEMO’.
Aiming to create a Korea-tailored product that Korean consumers would be satisfied with, SNK developed ‘ROEMO’ by discussing and designing everything from the product's manufacturing process to app development together with the manufacturer.
For battery safety, ‘ROEMO’ adopts LG's 5,200mAh large-capacity battery, allowing worry-free, long-duration cleaning without concerns about battery problems. It is also equipped with powerful suction and a smart electronic water-volume control system that adjusts the water flow in three levels, so it can perform wet cleaning with exactly the amount of water needed and no worries about leakage.
In addition, by incorporating a high-performance LDS sensor and a ToF infrared sensor, it achieves accurate and fast mapping to maximize the completeness of its SLAM autonomous navigation system. In particular, ‘ROEMO’'s strength is its smart zone-cleaning feature: users can freely adjust the mapped layout and clean in any order they wish, and they can individually assign the desired suction power and water volume to each adjusted zone, enabling cleaning methods optimized for each room or area. Moreover, this feature can also be used with scheduled cleaning, offering the advantage of cleaning only the spaces you need in the way you want. On top of this, you can set no-mopping zones to create a cleaning environment perfectly suited to your usage conditions and circumstances, and its triple-filter structure, which includes a HEPA filter, helps reduce concerns about fine dust as well.
SNK CEO Oh Dong-il said, “Most existing robot vacuums are designed and produced locally in regions where tile-structured homes are common, so they may not suit the structure and characteristics of Korean homes. A major strength of the ROEMO robot vacuum is that you can separately set cleaning methods optimized for each environment—such as a room with young children, a room with elderly family members, or hallways and living rooms that are used frequently and require powerful cleaning.”
