Global lighting company LEDVANCE has launched a new product, the 'OSRAM HQL LED High Bay Lamp,' designed to replace conventional mercury vapor lamps (HQL).
This new product is a high-ceiling LED lamp suited to large facilities such as factories, warehouses, and distribution centers. Without any separate luminaire installation work, the existing mercury vapor lamp (HQL) can simply be removed and immediately replaced with the LED lamp. In addition, the 'OSRAM HQL LED High Bay Lamp' saves up to 65% of electrical energy compared to conventional mercury vapor lamps (HQL), and with its long lifespan of 50,000 hours, it is ideal for large facilities where maintenance and replacement are difficult. With a high luminous efficiency of over 130 lm/W, it contributes not only to a fast return on investment but also to reduced management costs.
Furthermore, the 'OSRAM HQL LED High Bay Lamp' features an IP40-rated dust- and water-resistant design that allows outdoor installation, and thanks to efficient thermal management, it operates reliably at any temperature from -20°C to 60°C. It is available in two power options, △95W and 140W, and two color temperatures, △4000K and 6000K, with △an E40 socket.
A LEDVANCE representative said, "Lighting for large facilities such as factories and warehouses must illuminate wide areas for long periods, so products with a long lifespan and excellent energy savings are preferable," adding, "With this new product, the existing mercury vapor lamps (HQL) can be easily replaced with LED lighting without any separate luminaire replacement work, which will greatly help large facilities reduce their electricity and management costs."
