EAGON Maru, the premium flooring brand of EAGON Industrial, has unveiled its new bespoke rigid flooring, 'GRIN,' which embodies the beauty of nature.
The name 'GRIN' carries the meaning of making us all 'break into a wide smile,' and it is characterized by 6 designs and 32 different colors, allowing customers to complete their own special space according to their space and taste. In particular, the new bespoke rigid flooring 'GRIN' vividly captures the distinctive patterns of natural wood and stone in its surface design—the most important consideration when choosing flooring. It delivers not only the rich colors and textures of nature just as they are, but also combines a threefold-more-diverse range of wood grain patterns in golden proportions to achieve an even more natural feel. In addition, it is finished with HPM (High Pressure Melamine), making it resistant to dents, scratches, and stains.
Another notable point of this new product is that it is a 'bespoke' floor that allows for free mix-and-matching. As the customer base preferring various sizes and designs has recently expanded, 'GRIN' has been launched in 6 sizes and 32 colors. Moreover, the uniform floor thickness of 10.5 mm allows all 'GRIN' products to be freely mixed and matched without height differences or material transition strips. Furthermore, 'GRIN,' which uses as its base a 10 mm plywood manufactured in-house by EAGON Industrial—the only plywood manufacturer in Korea—is thicker and sturdier than the company's existing products, making it resistant to dents and less prone to shrinkage and deformation, offering outstanding product stability and a comfortable walking feel. In addition, it is a water-resistant plywood that has earned the highest 'Super E0' grade of 0.3 mg/L or less in formaldehyde emission testing, so it can be used with peace of mind, free from concerns about harmful substances. On top of this, the flooring's processing precision has been enhanced so that the seams between boards are kept to a minimum, and dark-toned floors apply the Perfect Edge Line technique to achieve a flawless finish right down to the edges. The new bespoke 'GRIN' consists of two series in total: 'GRIN Original,' with its impressive natural wood grain, and 'GRIN Square,' whose square design impressively captures not only natural stone but also wood and nature's unique patterns. The 'GRIN Original' product comes in 4 types depending on width—▲GRIN 230 ▲GRIN 190 ▲GRIN 165 ▲GRIN 125—and is offered in 4 lengths matched to the width, ranging from a minimum of 800 mm up to 2,430 mm. The designs are composed of 3 types according to the characteristics of the wood—▲'Mild,' featuring S-grade wood patterns ▲'Natural,' which preserves the knots of the wood as they are ▲'Rustic,' which captures the cracks of the timber—and are launched in a total of 13 colors. 'GRIN Square' consists of 2 types—▲'GRIN Square 597,' a square shape with a uniform width and length of 597 mm, and ▲'GRIN Square 395,' with a width of 395 mm and a length of 800 mm—and its designs come in 3 types: ▲'Stone,' which realistically renders the texture and sheen of natural stone ▲'Wood,' which expresses the comfortable beauty of natural wood ▲'Unique,' which embodies the warmth of natural fabric. The colors are composed of 19 types in total—15 Stone-type designs, 3 Wood-type designs, and 1 Unique type—broadening the range of choices.
