EAGON Maru, known for its high-end eco-friendly flooring, has reorganized the lineup of its premium hardwood flooring brand 'LARGO'.
'LARGO' is a top-tier hardwood flooring lineup newly launched based on the wood-processing expertise EAGON Maru has accumulated over 30 years. Since its launch, it has been installed in high-end residential spaces and has been leading the trend toward premium flooring in the domestic market. EAGON Maru plans to reorganize its 'LARGO' hardwood flooring into 'LARGO TERRA' and 'LARGO SOLE', strengthening its influence in the domestic premium hardwood flooring market.
'LARGO TERRA' is a top-grade hardwood floor whose entire process—from wood sourcing to production—is completed 100% locally in Europe. Only the highest-grade European hardwood is carefully selected and used, and it is processed using a premium cutting method that beautifully brings out the wood grain of each individual plank. In particular, 'LARGO TERRA' features a 4㎜-thick solid wood top layer that preserves the natural texture of the wood, offering an excellent feel to the touch and underfoot. It has obtained the CE mark, the European Union's safety certification, and has verified its safety by receiving the highest grade, A+, in the French VOC test, which examines the emission of various substances harmful to the human body such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. 'LARGO TERRA' is available in an ultra-wide format of 14(thickness)×200(width)×1600–2000㎜(length).
'LARGO SOLE' is characterized by trend-reflecting, stylish designs and a variety of wood surface textures, and it is offered in two plank widths—150㎜ and 190㎜—to broaden customer choice. In particular, the 'LARGO SOLE 150/T1' is a Korean-style hardwood floor produced 100% domestically by EAGON Maru, developed with careful consideration of Korea's climate with its four distinct seasons and the characteristics of ondol (underfloor) heating. In the same ondol environment, it is more stable against deformation such as shrinkage and expansion than the company's existing hardwood floors, and its eco-friendly 'UV oil coating' finish—combining the advantages of UV coating and oil coating—brings out the wood's inherently vivid grain patterns. In addition, it has achieved the SE0 grade, the highest rating in formaldehyde emission testing, giving it eco-friendly credentials as well. The product is offered in a wide format of 11.5(thickness)×150(width)×1200㎜(length). Furthermore, the newly launched 'LARGO SOLE 190/T1' is likewise a 100% domestically produced product optimized for Korea's climate and ondol culture. It applies a micro-bevel coating technique that paints even the edges of each plank, so the solid wood top layer is not exposed and installation looks clean and neat. It comes in six standard colors, and beyond the standard colors, custom production is available in the customer's desired color, allowing selection according to personal taste. The product is offered in an ultra-wide format of 12.5(thickness)×190(width)×1900㎜(length) that reflects the latest trends.
An EAGON Maru official said, "With interest in living spaces rising recently due to COVID-19, inquiries about premium hardwood flooring are increasing from customers who want to feel nature at home," adding, "Going forward, EAGON Maru plans to continually strengthen its hardwood flooring product range and expand its position as the leading brand in Korea's premium hardwood flooring market." 1522-1271
