EAGON Windows has launched the aluminum curtain wall 'EFS 60,' expanding the lineup of its Façade Series.
EAGON Windows' 'Façade Series' maximizes aesthetic function and a sense of openness through its slim sightline width, and enhances the value of buildings with stable and powerful performance, making it highly preferred at premium construction sites. EAGON Windows' curtain walls are installed in numerous landmark buildings at home and abroad, including Incheon International Airport, the National Museum of Korea, and the National Museum of Qatar.
This new aluminum curtain wall 'EFS 60' features further enhanced thermal insulation and structural performance. It is characterized by enabling design work by applying the curtain wall over a larger exterior area than previous products. In particular, the aluminum profile can be selected in 25㎜ increments according to the design site, and the maximum fabrication size can be produced and installed in ultra-large dimensions of up to 2×5.1m without steel reinforcement and up to 2×6.9m with reinforcement installed. In addition, the unitized steel reinforcement that can be assembled as a single integrated unit maintains a stable building design without twisting or bending even under wind pressure caused by climate change, and by inserting high-performance insulation material, it strengthens thermal insulation performance compared to standard aluminum curtain walls, providing users with a safer and more comfortable space. When combined with 'EWS 60 SG,' a casement window designed exclusively for curtain walls, indoor and outdoor air circulation is also possible.
Convenient installation and assembly along with enhanced constructability are also key strengths of the 'EFS 60.' The new 'EFS 60' uses the aluminum Hole-Cleat assembly method commonly used in system windows, helping to fasten profiles strongly and with high quality regardless of the worker's skill level. For installation, it applies the method specified in the regulations of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association exactly as prescribed, so that the curtain wall achieves a solid and stable structure when applied to a building. Furthermore, its improved airtightness and waterproofing performance, along with the ability to use sustainable materials, are also noteworthy aspects of the 'EFS 60.' In addition, the gasket installed at the joints is designed to bond more closely with the side gaskets, minimizing water leakage, and above all, its silicone-free method allows materials to be recycled, so the product can be used continuously as long as there is no deformation.
An EAGON Windows official said, "The new EFS 60 is a customized curtain wall capable of realizing large-area façades, optimized for implementing the façade design of a building as envisioned by the architect," and added, "As a new product in the Façade Series equipped with even further enhanced stability as well as outstanding design and function, it will add premium value to buildings and contribute to upgrading architectural culture." 1522-1271
