EAGON Windows has added a kitchen window option to its best-selling balcony window, the 'PSS 185 LS,' in response to consumer demand for a wide view even in the kitchen.

As the recent decline in family size and changes in lifestyle transform the 'kitchen' into the center of the home and a more upscale space, consumers' engagement with and demands for kitchen interiors are rising. In the case of windows as well, there is a growing trend toward products that provide expansive views through picture windows like those used for living rooms or through slim frames. Accordingly, the 'PSS 185 LS,' which EAGON Windows has added as a kitchen window option, is a PVC single-frame system window that delivers the insulation and airtightness performance of a double window with just a single pane. It is characterized by securing about 30% more interior space compared to a double window and by the slim design of the fixed (fix) section's frame, which provides an even wider field of view. Instead of applying silicone to the joint between the glass and the window frame, a gasket is used, so there is no concern about mold or discoloration caused by sunlight. Unlike silicone, the gasket does not change color or peel away, and its clean finish allows the product to be used cleanly for a long time—like new—without mold or leaks.

Unlike ordinary sliding windows, it uses a Lift Sliding system in which the sash lifts to open easily and, when closing, the sash presses fully against the floor, delivering excellent blocking of cold air, noise, and fine dust when closed.

System windows generally incorporate high-performance hardware, making it difficult to produce them in small sizes, but the 'PSS 185 LS' was developed so that it can be applied not only to kitchen windows but also to hallways, bathrooms, stairways, and any other space requiring natural light and ventilation. In addition, when this sturdy system window is combined with EAGON Windows' 'SUPER Vacuum Glass,' an ultra-insulating glass, its insulation performance is more than four times superior to that of Low-E double-pane glass, greatly helping to reduce heating and cooling costs. It is also highly effective at protecting the home from condensation and drafts, creating a comfortable living environment.

With the launch of this 'PSS 185 LS' kitchen window option, EAGON Windows has strengthened its lineup of window products specialized for kitchen windows. This past June, EAGON Windows released the 'PWS 70 TH,' a kitchen-dedicated window with an opening mechanism in which the lower part of the window opens outward. This product is characterized by securing natural light and a wide field of view through a single sheet of glass with no frame in the center of the window, creating the effect of making the kitchen appear even more spacious.

An EAGON Windows official said, "As consumer demand for kitchen windows has grown, we have strengthened our kitchen window lineup with the 'PSS 185 LS,' which combines both insulation performance and modern design," adding, "As the 'kitchen' is emerging as the space people put the most effort into when decorating their homes, we will further expand our products specialized for the kitchen." 1522-1271
