Kiturami announced the launch of the 'Kiturami Camping Mat Ondol,' the industry's first product to combine aerospace engineering with new-material heating technology.

The 'Kiturami Camping Mat Ondol' features Heat-Cell insulation co-developed with the insulation technology team behind the Nuri (KSLV-II) satellite. Heat-Cell insulation is a new material, newly developed for ground conditions, based on the multi-layer insulation (MLI) technology that protects satellites from the drastic thermal changes of the space environment. It blocks the cold rising from the floor and reduces heat loss released downward, delivering continuous radiant heat upward only.

The heating element, which plays the core role in heating, applies 'Silver Wire Network Planar Heating' technology, in which ultra-fine wires of silver (Ag)—a material with outstanding thermal conductivity—are interwoven at the micrometer (one-millionth of a meter) scale. Unlike conventional heating-wire methods, it does not experience wire breakage or sparking, thereby preventing the risk of fire. In addition, thanks to the exceptional thermal conductivity inherent to silver (Ag), it rapidly reaches high temperatures on low power (80W). The temperature controller is built with a hard case made of highly durable, flame-retardant material suited to the camping environment, and allows precise temperature control in 1-degree increments.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a hybrid function—an industry first—that allows two mats to be expanded and connected to a single temperature controller. By adding an extension cable and mat as optional specifications so it can be used in a double size depending on the camping environment, users can enjoy the heating effect over an even larger space. In addition, the 'Kiturami Camping Mat Ondol' also boasts ▲Certification as a children's textile product for the mat ▲Completed radon and thoron safety testing ▲Completed non-detection testing for 8 hazardous substances ▲A 7-fold safety mechanism, and more.

An official from Kiturami Boiler said, "Following the Kiturami 3rd-generation carbon mat, which innovatively improved on the shortcomings of the 1st-generation electric mat and the 2nd-generation hot-water mat, the Kiturami Camping Mat Ondol—which adds aerospace engineering and new-material technology—will newly lead the trend of the camping heating mat market," adding, "It will establish itself as an essential winter item, as it is highly useful not only for the 7 million campers who enjoy camping and car camping, but also in indoor environments such as single beds and living-room sofas." 1588-9000
