Samsung Electronics has launched the new 2024 ‘BESPOKE Artificial Intelligence (AI) Wind-Free System Air Conditioner Infinite Line.’
The new product builds on the existing premium design and high-efficiency cooling performance by adding a newly integrated radar sensor, enhancing its AI capabilities and further improving energy efficiency and convenience. The radar sensor supports △AI Absence Power Saving, △Motion Detection Comfort, △Absence Monitoring, and △Absence Drying. The AI Absence Power Saving function uses the radar sensor to detect human movement, and when it determines that no one is present, it automatically switches to power-saving operation. By learning the user's absence patterns, it gradually switches to power-saving operation more quickly, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. It also offers a Motion Detection Comfort function that detects changes in activity levels within a space and automatically adjusts the cooling intensity and airflow. For example, when activity levels are high due to cleaning or exercise, it increases the cooling intensity to maintain comfort. When direct or indirect airflow is selected, the sensor detects the user's location and directs the air accordingly. When the user wants quick cooling, selecting direct airflow sends air toward the user's direction, while for low-activity situations such as reading or napping, indirect airflow can be selected to adjust the direction of the air. The radar sensor also links with SmartThings to provide various additional functions. When Absence Monitoring is set in SmartThings before going out, the radar sensor sends a notification to the smartphone when it detects movement. When the radar sensor detects an absence, it can be set to turn off not only the system air conditioner but also SmartThings-connected devices such as the TV or lights.
This new product also incorporates all the core features applied in the existing ‘BESPOKE Wind-Free System Air Conditioner Infinite Line.’ Taking into account the nature of system air conditioners, which are difficult to replace, it uses a high-performance ASA material that resists discoloration, and it features a Welcome Lighting function in which the light blinks when a person enters the space. It can be controlled through SmartThings or Bixby voice recognition without a remote control, and since it can also provide voice guidance, it is convenient to use even for those with low vision or for the elderly.
The 2024 ‘BESPOKE AI Wind-Free System Air Conditioner Infinite Line’ is a Grade 1 energy-efficiency product. Using the Wide Wind-Free Cooling function can save up to 61% in power consumption compared to standard cooling in high-airflow mode, and the AI Saving Mode can reduce power consumption by up to 20% compared to AI Comfort operation. The 2024 new product is available in Natural White, with a factory price ranging from 4.4 million to 13.3 million won depending on the cooling area (65–173㎡).
