Priced Comparable to Composite Wood at Public-Procurement Rates, with Verified Quality and Safety

Jayeon Group (CEO Kang Tae-yoon) has partnered with global company EVA-LAST (CEO Nathan Chapman) to launch 'APEX,' a high-performance specialty deck material representing the third generation of Fiberwood.

'APEX' was released worldwide simultaneously in 2020 and made its domestic debut this past January at the architecture expo held at SETEC. 'APEX' is an ultra-lightweight specialty deck material made from special composite materials, a product that completely addresses the problems of conventional composite wood. In addition, 'APEX' is a flame-retardant product that is safe against fire, and it is characterized by resistance to deformation, discoloration, and scratching even under severe weather, external UV exposure, and temperature changes. Furthermore, it is an eco-friendly product with anti-slip functionality, strong resistance to moisture and humidity as well as mold, and has received the highest quality certifications in countries around the world. In terms of price, it is offered at a level similar to that of ordinary composite wood at public-procurement rates, and it is expected to gain recognition as the optimal product to replace conventional composite wood. Above all, 'APEX' is drawing attention as the first in the construction industry to offer a '25-year quality warranty service.' Once product registration is completed after purchase, the product can be exchanged for a new one within 25 years should any problem arise.

Kang Tae-yoon, CEO of Jayeon Group, said, "Guaranteeing quality for as long as 25 years reflects just how much pride we take in our quality. Since EVA-LAST has already secured 30 to 40 renowned global corporate partners worldwide, customers in Korea can use it with confidence."

An Economical Product with Almost No Maintenance or Management Costs

In Korea, the deck material primarily used is composite wood (WPC), which was developed to compensate for the shortcomings of ordinary timber. However, since most domestic composite-wood manufacturers operate in poor conditions with small-scale factories, their product competitiveness is inevitably low. Moreover, owing to the nature of the raw materials—wood flour combined with plastic—the products are not eco-friendly, and defect-related problems are arising in various places. In fact, defects have recently been occurring in many places after composite-wood deck installations, but with no clear alternative to composite wood, the reality is that there is no choice but to reinstall with composite wood once again. As a result, the losses are significant not only in terms of removal costs but also in terms of maintenance and management costs.

Jayeon Group's 'APEX' completely addresses the problems found in such composite wood with world-recognized technological capabilities, and its 25-year quality warranty system allows for more worry-free use. In addition, its outstanding durability makes it suitable for semi-permanent use, making it an economical product with almost no maintenance or management costs. On top of this, its distinctive sense of color is an advantage, enabling the creation of trendy deck spaces. The 'APEX' deck comes in a diverse range of 14 single-tone colors and 12 dual-tone colors, allowing customers to choose according to their taste.

Jayeon Group offers three flagship colors favored by domestic consumers, and other desired colors can be produced to order. Currently, the 'APEX' deck is expanding its market by targeting public spaces, businesses, schools, parks, and government offices, and it is scheduled to be installed in a variety of spaces.

Meanwhile, beginning with first-generation Fiberwood, followed by second-generation Fiberwood, carbon fiber decking, and now the third-generation APEX deck, Jayeon Group is presenting high-performance, ultra-lightweight specialty timber products rarely seen in Korea. Beyond simply selling products, this has created an opportunity to advance the domestic timber market to the next level by bringing products that meet the demands of the times to the market. Kang Tae-yoon, CEO of Jayeon Group, expressed his confidence, saying, "Going forward, APEX will not only increase satisfaction as a new alternative for consumers who have experienced inconvenience while using conventional composite-wood deck materials, but will also bring a fresh new wind to the domestic deck-material market." 1522-1552
