Bosch Power Tools division (Division Head Park Jin-hong), a global leader in the power tool field, has launched the ‘GBH 18V-45C Professional,’ a professional BITURBO cordless rotary hammer that concentrates innovative technology to deliver higher power, convenience, and safety.
This rotary hammer is equipped with Bosch’s latest high-performance BITURBO brushless motor and, when used together with the Bosch premium ‘ProCORE18V’ battery, boasts 12.5J of impact energy and 1500W of corded-tool-class high output. Despite its powerful output, it is far lighter in weight, and even when fitted with the ProCORE18V 12.0Ah battery it is lighter than comparable corded products. This enables fast drilling and chiseling in rough materials such as concrete, stone, rock, and brick. In addition, the battery is positioned at the front of the body, allowing stable work on the floor without applying great force.
Furthermore, the new product enhances working convenience through Bosch’s various innovative technologies. For the first time in its class, it features a user display (HMI) that shows the battery charge status and the tool’s heat status at a glance. It also offers three operating modes: Auto mode, Soft work mode, and Favorites mode. Soft work mode gradually increases the rotation speed, making it suitable for machining sensitive materials, while Favorites mode links with the Bosch app so that the final rotation speed and rotational acceleration can be set to suit the worker’s preference. Its safety is also outstanding. In the event of kickback caused by a sudden overload, such as the bit catching on an obstacle, the ‘KickBack Control’ function stops the tool on its own to prevent injury. EPC (Electronic Precision Control) and ASC (Adaptive Speed Control) allow the product to start up smoothly while gradually increasing rotation speed, supporting safe and precise tool control.
In addition, activating the lock button on the handle prevents the tool from being switched on accidentally during transport and enables continuous operation during chiseling work. The LED work light, not found on corded products, boosts work efficiency in dark environments.
An official from the Bosch Power Tools division said, “Based on Bosch’s various innovative technologies such as BITURBO, we have launched a next-generation rotary hammer that excels at drilling and chiseling,” adding, “With the high output and high performance required for professional work, along with convenience, mobility, and above all safety, it will provide the best working experience.” 1599-3567
