Chokwang Paint (CEO Yang Seong-a) has launched 'Evercool ProDeck,' an ultra-fast-drying, heat-blocking, waterproof functional paint that dries within 20 seconds.
The first product of its kind in the industry, 'Evercool ProDeck' is expected to bring innovation to rooftop waterproof coating job sites that require fast application and drying during the rainy season. 'Evercool ProDeck' is a new-concept waterproof paint that maximizes the heat-blocking effect by adding a special raw material that reflects infrared rays to a conventional polyurea waterproofing agent, and it is characterized by improved workability and the ability to coat large areas in a short time.
The head of one contracting company said, "Existing products required a drying time of more than 24 hours, so we couldn't carry out work during periods of frequent rain, and there was the inconvenience of having to apply the waterproof coating and the heat-blocking paint coating separately, which created the difficulty of construction periods stretching out indefinitely depending on the weather," adding, "Evercool ProDeck's fast drying time dramatically shortens work time, so not only the workers but also the building owners are highly satisfied."
