As interior design considerations increasingly factor into consumers' choices of kitchen appliances, Kyowon Wells has unveiled an ultra-slim direct-flow water purifier.
Kyowon Wells' direct-flow water purifier 'Slim One' features an ultra-slim body just 16 cm wide, achieved by applying a patent-pending third-generation double-tube cooling technology that reduces the volume of the cooling unit by approximately 60%. Fitting cold water, hot water, and purified water functions all within a space no larger than an adult's handspan, the new product improves energy efficiency and space utilization, and its design suits island counters as well as the narrow kitchen sinks of one- to two-person households. In addition, 'Slim One' applies an in-mold labeling process to its exterior for a smooth finish free of protruding buttons, and it incorporates hidden lighting buttons that glow and appear when the user touches them. The taste of the water—the very heart of a water purifier—was also emphasized, earning the top-tier Grand Gold Award at the 9th Water Purifier Water Taste Competition. The new product is available in two marble-inspired colors, 'Marble White' and 'Marble Warm Gray,' broadening the range of consumer choices.
In addition, LED lighting was added to the dispensing button and the cock tip to visualize the refreshing water, and the water temperature is expressed in color to reduce the risk of scalding and other hazards. Universal design was also incorporated so that users of all ages can use it without inconvenience. By applying the dedicated typeface and voice guidance of the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute, the elderly and those with low vision can use it with ease. Furthermore, the product features bubble-separation technology that prevents interruptions or splashing when dispensing hot water, a finely graduated dispensing function in 10 ml increments, and an automatic cock UV sterilization function that operates every two hours for added convenience.
A Kyowon representative said, "We added design elements throughout so that consumers can feel that the water they enjoy in daily life is healthy, delicious water rich in living minerals."
Meanwhile, Kyowon Wells' new product 'Slim One' has also won numerous international awards for its uncluttered design. It received honors at Germany's 'iF Design Award 2025' and 'Red Dot Design Award 2025,' the '2025 Japan Good Design Award,' and the '2025 IDEA Design Award,' sweeping all four of the world's major design awards in a single year. 1588-4113
