Samhwa Paints announced that it has officially launched ‘Noxtop,’ a water-based primer for rust conversion.
When iron is exposed to oxygen and water in the air, corrosion occurs through an oxidation reaction. Corroded steel loses strength and ductility, increasing the risk of accidents. To solve this problem, a paint coating that converts and prevents rust is essential. ‘Noxtop,’ the water-based rust-conversion primer newly launched by Samhwa Paints, is a product that uses a special emulsion resin to transform corroded steel into a stable state and prevent further corrosion. The strengths of Samhwa Paints’ ‘Noxtop’ are rust stabilization and additional anti-rust protection, along with excellent storage stability and a thin film thickness. In particular, ‘Noxtop’ can reduce the time and cost required for surface treatment, such as removing rust from steel. This is because subsequent paint coating is possible after the rust-stabilization reaction, making the work easy and fast.
A Samhwa Paints official said, “Once steel begins to corrode, its strength and ductility drop sharply, so safety must be secured with a paint that prevents rust conversion and further rust formation,” adding, “With frequent rain and continued humid weather, we expect sales of Noxtop to grow.”
Meanwhile, Samhwa Paints stated that, based on a test report issued by the domestic testing and certification body Korea SGS, ‘Noxtop’ was found to be free of the six major heavy metals harmful to the human body, including cadmium, mercury, and lead. 02-765-3641
